Make sure you check closing times before you walk the Freedom Trail and figure out the estimated time it takes to get there. Its sad when its closed after you walked the entire trail.
There's two trails around the resevoir: 1 gravel path immediately surrounding the reservoir, and another paved path that follows along at street level. Both are excellent running paths

Right in the middle of Freedom Trail where you can find just about everything while you are traveling. Also you will find tons of street performers.
One of the nicest gift shops on the Freedom Trail. Lovely historic Boston mugs. They now assign you a Revolutionary character on your pass, which is fun.
Well worth taking the 30-minute $5 guided tour. Climb the steeple stairs to the bell chamber where teenage Paul Revere worked, and walk through the crypt to view the 37 tombs below the church floors. Read more.
