I highly recommend the polenta with wild mushroom and Gorgonzola.
This place was great.. the polenta with wild mushrooms and Gorgonzola was absolutely delicious .. and the drinks here were tasty and balanced.. must return ..
Besides overall excellence they also have my favorite Fernet Branca print that makes me want to stage a heist.
Everything here is great but 2 standouts are the Pineapple Secrets cocktail (w mezcal) + the wild mushroom pesto gnocchi.

When you go to La Villa on Avenue U, sit at the bar for friendly service and free appetizers: gorgeous onion focaccia and rice balls. The pastas: perfect, but the pizzas: excellent. Hello Margherita!
Mia famiglia & I always sit in a (big) booth & order our usuals - baked clams, bruschetta & insalata caprese for apps & penne gamberi, calzone for entrees. Delizioso!
The pizza is good but not great. La Villa also serves a full Italian menu. Pleasant place for a meal.

Try one of the many risottos — they're homemade and well-priced. For starters, creative salads abound — we love the one with grilled corn, fire-roasted peppers, avocado, arugula and shaved parmigiano.
Everything is good here...but service is slow. Be prepared to be here for two hours for dinner.
Started off with grilled calamari and the prosciutto fig goat cheese baguettes. Cant go wrong. The game changer though is the Bolognese. Cant think of a time I have had better. Licked the plate.
