Joseph Smarr: Order the "big man" cocktail. It's off-menu but a favorite of the bartenders (a fun take on the Manhattan)
Eater: The single most essential Boston restaurant of the moment, in that here chef-owner Will Gilson is more thoroughly tackling a fresh perspective on New England cuisine than anywhere else in the world.

Matthew Spector: Outstanding addition to Central Square. Get the monkfish biryani and the little gems salad. Clam toast and the tuna tartare are stellar.
Max: Really great fusion tapas. The raw bar has some rare items and there is a Portugal vibe throughout the menu.
Sofia Papastamelos: If you like small plates and different cuisines this is a great place for you. Always pretty crowded and food is great. Plates will sometimes rotate depending on the season.

Shane Solar-Doherty: TRY EVERYTHING. Everyone should have to eat here everyday.
Melinda Green: Order a chickpea-mushroom burger topped with red pepper puree, roasted tomatoes, and goat cheese. This carnivore could eat one every day.

emma tangoren: from the owners of the beehive in the south end, described as a "subterranean restaurant-bar-nightclub"
Jake Smith: If you're planning on eating, arrive early or plan on waiting a while for a table (or eating at the crowded bar). Try one of the ingeniously developed cocktails, like the Purple Door.
