The service was excellent as well as the food. I would gladly recommend the banana pudding. The blend of meringue and caramel was a great take on an old favorite.

Have someone give you a guided tour - it is a fantastic way to get to know the museum. And, in case you are wondering, Patterson Pope supplied the movable shelving and art rack in the storage room.
The museum was designed by Swiss architect Mario Botta who also designed the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.
Although it isn't crammed with cocktail tables, the Bechtler lobby does sport a bar, some club seating and surprisingly fine acoustics. Read more.
