The Corcoran Group: This trendy spot serves up some amazing small plates - the tuna tart, tuna crispy rice, and foie gras short rib gyoza are to die for. Don't pass on dessert either - the bread pudding is SO good.

Marcelo Soares: Great selection of wines by the glass, good prices, formaggi misti is a must. Excellent option for a late afternoon.
Chris: Cozy wine bar and a great spot for a date. Pay with Cover and leave when you want.
Marc Sinoway: This place is great... unless you want them to add a slice of tomato to your panini. Bar Veloce couldn't accommodate that request so we decided to forgo the second bottle of red & peaced out.

Zachary Adam Cohen: My local dive. Though its not truly divey. Excellent food. Lots of homo bros with hockey sticks hanging around. Don't really trust men with clubs of any kind. Bartender talent.
Kirk Larsen: Staff are assholes, bathroom is filthy, service is unacceptable.

EsuNYC .: The garden at Cafe Grumpy is one of my favorite places to read. It's small, cute, and very quiet, especially in the morning. However, it's currently 7:17am so I guess most of Manhattan is still quiet.

Serious Eats: These doughnuts may be pricier than most, but they're worth it. Go for the carrot cake, or the crème brûlée, or the tres leches...oh, who are we kidding, they're all pretty awesome.
