Everything was delicious but don't miss the croquetas de jamon from the tapas bar menu. Maybe the best croquetas I have ever had in Chicago. The only negative thing: wines way too expensive
Tried the Chef’s tasting menu, most memorable were the grilled Brussels sprouts & the paella. The desserts were a miss though, churros was oily, orange flan too sweet. Service was ok.

Great place for tapas and to buy authentic jamón and chorizo. It's not easy to find good jamón de bellota here and they will sell it buy the pound. Great find!
The oxtail was very good.
The sangria is perfection. Lots of tapas from which to choose. I liked the spicy potatoes, the goat cheese, and the shrimp with garlic.

South American cuisine and brightly colored decor will transport you to, well, Carnivale! Try the rum-glazed roast pork or pupusas stuffed with oxtail, cheese, and refried beans.
Carnivale’s loud, colorful lounge vibe plays off of its busy location perched above the Kennedy Expressway, and the ceviche mixto has bombastic, bright flavors to match.
Guacamole is great! I've had multiple dishes and all were good, however the skirt steak is absolutely delicious.
Chef Enrique is the master of Tapas! The paella is to die for, and there is never a bad meal here :)
Christiana is the best bartender here. She specializes in out of the ordinary cocktails, using her own twist on the norm. Definitely try the spicy mussels (it's by request only)

El Born is always my go to sandwich. Pairs nicely with the Spanish Fly cocktail. Friendly staff.

The octopus a la planxa is legit divine. Baby octopus grilled, but still succelent and served with a bright, bracing sauce. Also, the pork belly and truffle cucumber slaw will make you see God.

Always my go-to place when downtown. Definitely try the croquetas de pollo, pulpo a la plancha and white sangria. Weekend nights are crazy - try it for lunch!
Delicious tapas. Cheap as hell. Scrumptious sangria. But horrible crowds. Best bet? Go for a nice late lunch on Saturday. After 5:00, you're in trouble.

Try the "Vieiras a la Plancha con Citricos y Nueces" (grilled scallops, oranges, walnuts, shaved fennel, and mint). Also, give a pitcher of red sangria a shot. Why not?
Tuesdays and Sundays there is an unlimited tapas menu for $20 ($25 with a drink). It's delicious and definitely worth the money!

The grilled flank steak was delectable, and it came with tortillas (to make tacos out of the dish). I will also endorse the guacamole, but you were going to get that already, right?
