Bobby: Great venue for LARGE crowd live music performances (Foo Fighters, Muse, etc). The beer cups are expensive, but magical - they fill FROM THE BOTTOM using reverse-engineered alien.
Ashley E: It's a great central place for concerts, basketball games, and other events!
Houstix.com Nick: Upgrade to the Toyota Center Concert Club. For $35 well worth it especially if you have seats in upper level.

Chris Marone: $2 Shiners, live music, and sand between your toes. Awesome.
Social News Network: One of the few places within the Loop that you can put your feet in the sand (really). Come on the weekends and listen to some live music while browsing the local vendors. Decent mexican food, too!

Xtine: Really nice venue, great times to be had here. Parking underground for $7 is easy but beware it may take awhile to exit after the show lets out.
CultureMap Houston: Its two venues together comprise over 3,500 seats and was funded completely by private donations to the tune of $66 million.
Melissa Steinmetz: Showboat was a great show! Worth seeing.
