Ki Choi: Great Mexican food in NYC: weird. Fonda delivers what may be the best Mexican meal I've had in recent memory. Guacamole is stellar as well as the flautas. Come before 8 for an awesome Happy Hour.

Mischa: Taquitos de papa were awesome, but barbacoa is not real Mexican barbacoa, they pour a guajillo sauce on it that is good, but takes the flavor out of the lamb. For appetizers go with jicama.
Amber Van Drie: Really great brunch special. Huevos Rancheros are delicious and the blood orange frozen margarita is out if this world.
Jorge Ortiz: A "palapa" is an open-air, thatched-roof structure; they're useful common spaces on hot, sunny days. Get the jicama with lime and chile, a popular and refreshing treat for just such days.
