Looks rather pretentious, but kid and beard friendly and the staff goes out of their way to please, even if you are in jeans and comfy shoes
For all the talk of burgers in London, the Piggie wipes the floor with them all. Great place, non pretentious atmosphere - lovely.
A decent French restaurant with non pretentious service. Not a fine dinning experience but at least it is honest. I would recommend the beef tartar as starter.
Delicious V60 filter coffee using Hackney Co.'s own roasted beans. Excellent third wave coffee, welcoming rather than pretentious, and comfy couches and loads of books upstairs :)

In general the food is good. There are a few meals that are a hit and miss. Many of the patrons are quite pretentious due to it being in the Banking District.

Never had a bad night here, great place for a dance and some non pretentious fun! They play loads of Motown and the d.j is great. Community cafe thurs-sun where you pay what you think for food.

Awesome Sae-woo pops, friend chicken and gochujang sauce (aka crack) help alleviate the horrendously pretentious ambiance.

Book in advance. Dishes overall are tasty but salty. Try prawn cake pops! Get the pork belly and wrap it in the lettuce - this is the Korean way of eating grilled meat. DO NOT EAT THEIR RICE, mushy!

Great, great pub. Friendly staff, lovely atmosphere & bloody fantastic food! This is one of the best traditional pubs in Richmond - a refreshing alternative to the pretentious wine bars!

Fresh, zesty fare and prompt, friendly service. Good value also. Space is tight so more suited for buzzy night out than intimate get-together.
Tremendous food. Chicken bao was a highlight. Sausage also very good. Expect a long wait time on evenings!
