Everything was incredible from the coffee to the pastry, the breakfast mushrooms that everyone is raving about as well as the interior. Well worth a visit or a few! Pricy though.
Literally everything is wonderful-I loved the mushrooms, poached eggs and kale but out of a group of 6 people and 5 different menu choices, we all agreed it was one of our fave places in Melbourne.

Aussie galette -basically breakfast in a crepe- was really good. Forestiere with bechamel , bacon cheese and mushrooms met with spousal approval. Chef quite popular with gay guys at next table

Sugar lemon, savoury mushroom crepes - all v good ! Expanded to a unit across so there’s more seating room now. Highly recommend this.
Whatever you do, you gotta get the saute mushrooms! it is totally amazing! Wagyu Beef steak is a must, and for pasta, Bolognese, spanner crab and Goat cheese tortellini are the go! Chicken is amazing!

they make the best savoury slices. a mushroom & a spinach with garlic one. pastry is cross-hatched on top with poppy seeds all over. they are delicious warm if you're up early on a weekend morning. ^^

Love this little cafe on a sat morning. Good coffee (as you'd expect being Proud Mary's sister cafe) and great food. Not your average smash-avo-on-toast sorta place. My fav is the Truffles and Shrooms
