Right up the back, or way down the front. This remains one of Melbourne's best music venues.

Arrive a little early and take your seat before the performance starts ! (so the tall guy doesn't have to keep standing up !)

Came for the Christian Death show and met them along with every other band that performed that night! Yes, hang around after the show near the door... right where the merch is sold.

Great performances at both Playhouse and Fairfax cinemas, both without mobile coverage so no performance interruptions. Car parking is expensive, better to PT it if you can. Limited food available.
The design of this place is just amazing. Lovely architecture and rich with tradition.

Amazing for the tennis, but really shouldn’t be used for concerts. The seats don’t face the event and the security had a terribly organised line and weren’t able to evict a person the performer asked

The improvements made here in recent years are fantastic. Padded seating, renovated bathrooms and spacious lobby areas.
My first time in Hamer Hall recently for Train's concert. What a great venue!
Beautiful music hall, comfortable seating, steep staggered view so you can usually see the stage, even if you're short like me!
Venue re opening lae July 2012. Should be some good bars and restaurants along the river front.
Avoid the mad rush of people going through the main doorway at your next concert - there are alternate stairs and lifts through the corridor left of the main entrance.
