Don't be afraid to visit the zoo in the winter...{preferably nonwindy} day. You'll have the zoo practically to yourself. It's so pretty when it's snowy & the indoor buildings are heated. Score!

There is so much to do here! Near McKinley Marina, Veteran's Park offers tons of wide open space for picnic'ing, kite-flying, reading, biking, jogging, roller blading and more.
Veterans Park is a great place to run if you want to be near the lake. There are often many people there running or riding bikes. It is also fun to look out and see all the sail boats in the summer.
