I ordered Gumbo that was delicious... ...and a Sausage poboy...that was delicious...my boyfriend had the seafood platter that I was able to taste the oyster on and they were delicious as well...
Buffalo Chicken Salad was excellent. You might also want to try the Ya-Ya Gumbo... Delicious!

Gumbo Ya ya, shrimp & grits, short rib, oysters on the half shell and all the drinks - fabulous! Bread pudding great - and dessert drinks - to die for!
Order the gumbo of the day (whatever it may be), housemade spaghetti w/ guanciale & fried poached egg, the amazing Muscovy duck leg confit and the banana brown butter tart for dessert. Flawless menu!

Their soufflé, gumbo and seafood are definitely worth the short ride from the French Quarter. Better reserve ahead of time. If price is an issue, try it for lunch.
This is a fun, unpretentious little bar/restaurant on Decatur. They make a great seafood gumbo.

Get the torchon of foie, the sweetbreads are to die for, and the death by gumbo. Skip the stuffy dining room and sit at the bar - Brian is awesome. the Peter Lauer Reisling it interesting.
Crab beignets, filet, crawfish stuffed flounder, seafood gumbo, asparagus, gratin potatoes. Everything. Was. Amazing! Service was excellent as well!

If you aren't looking you might just pass this place by. Great Gumbo and the Barbecue Shrimp is a must. People claim you have to get the seafood platter if you enjoy fried goodies from the sea.
