Alexa Hodgin: Get the spinach and cheese enchiladas and a michelada. Experience true happiness.
Rebecca Ahrens-Diamond: The food is fantastic! Being from San Diego I'm really picky and this place is the closest I've come to decent CA style Mexican food! Cheese enchiladas! Slooooooow service but worth the wait!
Lauren Hansen: Veggie burrito and guac are both fantastic. The jalapeño margarita is SPICY, so be prepared with some water nearby to cool off your mouth.

Alex Hunter: Solid Mexican in the East Village. Vegetarian tacos, burritos, and the cheese enchiladas! It’s pretty small so I tend to carry out.
Hunter Orahood: This place is pretty epic. Highlights carnitas tacos // cochinita pibil (anything) this is the slow roasted pork cooked in banana leaves and served with pickled peppers and onions. So good!
Travel + Leisure: Even Chef René Redzepi of famed Noma loves this intimate, four-table taqueria in the East Village. Standouts include tongue tacos and house-made tortillas folded around soft beef suadero.

Audrey O: Great service + food is delicious. Desserts: Tres leches cake is perfect for the sweet tooth, but the rice pudding is just right.
Thea: Forget about the big meals...simply order the taco tray to share, which will guarantee to be a party in your mouth.

Inna G: Delicious! Octopus Ceviche (even though its not actually ceviche), spicy lobster tacos. Skip the coffee :)
The Most Interesting Man in the World: “Toloache” is coincidentally the name of a Congolese river guide who told me the funniest joke I have ever heard. It gets lost in translation but contains the phrase, “hamster jorts.”
ZAGAT: Guacamole is served three ways here – and even has its own tasting menu.

Scott Sklar: The lobster quesadilla... If you don't order it, you doing it wrong.
