Fantastic small and inexpensive zoo. Extremely kid friendly. Let 'em loose and try to keep up.

For less than 10 bucks the Oakland Zoo is a great place for a nice casual relaxing day. Not one of the biggest zoo's but always one of my favorite close to home faves.
One of the elite pizza places in Oakland. Not better than Zachary's, but with a very nice full bar and just as kid friendly, it may edge out Zachary's in terms of the overall experience.

What a Mexican restaurant in Cuba might feel like. Maybe the East Bay's best fish taco. Killer gauc. Can't wait to come back for the pressed sandwiches and plantains.

The burritos here are unbelievable!! A junior burrito still includes all of the fixings of a super burrito minus the monstrous size.

Excellent luxe burger with a fried portabello mushroom, got onions on it too, the garlic fries were good. I got the vanilla milkshake with orange cream add-in, was awesome.
Mushroom burger is a slimy mess. Fries and peanut butter malt milkshake are decent.
