The friendly biker staff make solid espresso drinks—and walk them to your table—as well as a vegan friendly menu. Speaking of, that BBQ jackfruit sandwich is tasty. Plenty of seats, outlets, and wifi.

Great coffee and super customer service. The location in a modern shipping container makes Equator Coffee a trendy addition to Oakland. Look for Equator Coffee in SFO too.

Get the tomato cocktail. All the food is great - menu smaller so go with a group to try it all.
Great cocktails but terrible bar. All orders by a clunky unintuitive phone app. Zero interaction with the mixologists. Hope they ditch this. At least they waved when I left.

Grab a Montreal-style bagel w/ topping for a few bucks at this new uptown location. Cool weekday hipster cafe is not crowded, good for working (though no plugs).

I love the fried chicken pop up. I wish it was open more days in the week. My fav is the garlic miso chicken with the rice and salad side washed down with a nice frosty Sapporo. ❤️

Already gave a tip about the bar but the coffee is also amazing! Hands down the best Chai Latte in Oakland (they make their own chai tea). Make sure you get it dirty(two shots of espresso)
They have a coffee bar area now....they serve local Bicycle Coffee. AND excellent Bloody Mary's with Bacon if you like.
Trendy, diverse crowd. The margaritas are too sour but the mojitos are perfect. Ambient, groovy DJ on Tuesday, usually some noms to be had. Great week night meet-up spot overall.
