The first publicly funded art museum in the US got an artful makeover in 2010. View over 30 Rodin sculptures, catch a traveling exhibit and explore their great outdoor spaces.
If you're not too tired from viewing the exhibits, I'd recommend taking a stroll around the grounds.
Very modern building with an open concept. It’s great for viewing all the different periods of art. Save some time to wander the grounds!
The middle and back of the lower balcony are perfect places to sit - the acoustics are magnificent and the view of the stage is perfect.

The hills are great for sledding and the trail is very pretty and great for running, walking, and biking.
Beautiful scenery and a piece of history. You don't need to spend more than 15 minutes here, though. Hidden gem right down the road from North Hills. Love this spot!

Club level is the way to go. Great view and you have the option to be waited on! Can't beat it! :)
This is a great area with a great view of all the events. I would travel back in a heart beat.
Good hockey arena - good views all around and a very comfortable club level. Parking is affordable and it's one of the few places where you can tailgate for hockey.

Beautiful lake with some well put together trails and a few spots to sit and hang out.
Very nice scenic trail.
We walked for about an hour with our dog. Had a nice time. Met a few friendly walkers and some on bikes. Busier place with some more serious bikers. Keep to one side, so bikers can pass safely.
Beware of rude bicyclists
I like the Loblolly trail the best but the Company Mill trail leads to some great rock climbing and white water viewing.
Remember to take plenty of water with you when on the trails...
If you arrive before the park gate opens, you can safely park on the shoulder without risk of being towed. (Harrison Ave Entrance)
The outside bar is awesome with amazing views of the city- beer selection had something for everyone
Great food, beer, and location. Two bars and lots of TVs. Very busy on sports days. "Roof top" seating but check out the roof for a view of Raleigh too.
Love how open this one is! Views are great. Same menu as the other Ale Houses.
Remodeled recently with a open-air second floor. Has a north and south view of Raleigh. South has a better view looking towards downtown.
Not a bad seat in the house, deck is great even in 90 degree weather, $5 build your own burger on Monday's, many unobtrusive TV's for sports viewing without feeling like a sports bar. Love it!

I come here in between classes to get some exercise or sit outside and read. Very peaceful, very little traffic.
Great for little & "big" kids alike. Who doesn't like a ride on a carousel and a scenic train tour around the park?! Parking isn't always easy but well worth the trip anytime and every time!
