The chopper rides are a bit pricey, but hey, great views. Even if you don't want to pay for it, you can still have a great view from near the helipad.

Best time to arrive in winter (August) was 3 or 4pm. Just grab a beer or caipirinha and sit on the wall overlooking the beautiful sunset and boats.

Lovely view over Leblon/Ipanema. You can’t actually see the sunset from here but you can see the sky glow. Much quieter place to relax and enjoy than Arpoador
