O, the fun to be done at city Museum. one of my favorite places to take my kiddo. And soooo architecturally fantastic.

It is free! The museum has a specialty exhibit every few months and has multiple levels of different types of art. Art Hill right out the front door is perfect for an afternoon picnic!
Love visiting the art museum. After the visit, you can enjoy watching the paddle boats in front of the museum...the lake there is perhaps the best view of forest park.

I highly recommend going to the top. On weekends plan to be in line for hours. We went during the week in August with no lines and saw the sunset. BEAUTIFUL! The museum is interesting as well.

"Designing for the other 90%" exhibit, recommended by Bill McKibben, open until Jan 7, 2013. Worth seeing!
Before the stl symphony begins season they give a free concert at art hill. Make sure to come early to get a good seat. Yummy food trucks.
Bring sled. Build ramp near bottom of hill. Climb hill. Hurl self down hill. Hit ramp at full speed. Experience rainbows and unicorns.
Stand at the top and throw a frisbee all the way to the pond!!! Amazing!!!

Use the south entrance to the arch. Once you clear security, get your tickets to ride to the top right away! Gives you plenty of time to walk the museum and shop for souvenirs before the ride

The imax experience is breathtaking
Definitely not your usual "Hall of Fame" or "museum" experience, to say the least. But an interesting place nonetheless. Check it out, fellow STLers.
