If you want a good view of the mountain, park near the bar drop. Turn around and bam... Great view. Lots of palm trees here, too. A world-class facility, for sure.

If you walk at a leisurely pace it's about a 2 hour hike up and down the trail. Bring a bottle of water.
Staff is top notch, especially the front desk. Rooms are cozy and warm. Proof has amaze espresso. Also get a salad for lunch. Talavera has a fantastic brunch. Mountain views = I'm in heaven!
Try Proof! It is comfort food at it's best. The spoonbread was phenomenal, and the shuffle board table makes for some good after dinner fun :)
Pinnacle Peak Sunrise: A sunrise hike to Pinnacle Peak allows you to watch as the desert wakes up around you. Be on the look out for cotton-tail bunnies and roadrunners.

If you are hiking this loop I would do it clockwise but if you are mountain biking it I would do it counter-clockwise.
I love hiking the Gateway Trail. Bring LOTS of water, a camera and just take your time. So many rush past so they can get their workout, but they miss the ever changing beauty!

Cute, old-fashion ice cream parlor. They have the best banana splits and chocolate milkshakes! Make an evening of it and explore Old Town after dessert.
This is the best place ever for ice cream, shakes, sodas, and sundays! Its old fashioned 50's style all done in pink. A must do experience!
