Great quality sushi. Worth walking a block south of the maki mile of sushi spots on Bloor.
Attention Annex Sushi lovers. Akai on Harbord is the best sushi to be found between those noisy Bloor Street joints and College and twixt Bay and Bathurst. Chef is careful and ingredients fresh.
Pay just a bit more for way better quality than the sushi joints on Bloor. Super friendly people who sometimes give you bonus appetizers with your takeout order!
Dynamite roll is fantastic! For lunch get the bento box, you can't go wrong.
If you are going for teppanyaki, you will get covered by oil so avoid wearing your wool sweater or silk shirt. Also avoid sitting along the west wall. The air flows from the door towards the wall.

Had the honey BBQ sandwich....very good, fresh and CHEAP. Sub sandwich and pop for $3.50 no tax.... Oh and very busy at lunch time.
Hot dish special, any 4 items for $10 is the BEST. The Jerk Chicken is a must have! TO DIE FOR! Sweet and a linger, tingly and pleasant spice! Good quality for a good price? Heck yes!
