Intimate setting really resembles a Japanese omakase restaurant BUT with more mainstream flavors! Chefs build layers of texture and flavor with multiple types of fish and garnish in each dish. 😋😋😋
One of the more “affordable” omakases in Manhattan. We went with the 15 course and it was a good value. Very innovative and decadent pieces, all very delicious.

Sushi of any sort is good with a miso or green salad even edamames..but,if your up to a shock of your life try eel..lol Dragon style sushi rolls are so good!
Ask to sit in the back room. It's a bit quieter and the stone walls are impressive.

One of the best Japanese restaurants outside of Japan. Ask for any special sushi/sashimi options of the menu -- they may have something very nice. Also the Ohmi beef is amazing (but $) nocheap :))

This is the real thing. A place for Gotham insiders. Gold leaf ceilings and enchanting murals by Madeline author and illustrator Ludwig Bemelmans. Arrive by 8pm and take a small table near the piano.
At the only place where Bemelman’s art work is publicly displayed, Tony has a martini saying “a room like this calls for a classic.” As seen on Travel Channel’s The Layover with Anthony Bourdain.
Get the macro plate! The kale Caesar is also delicious.
All dishes were pretty basic, but delicious. Try kale Caesar salad, orecchiette, crab & avocado toast. Made us wait 40 minutes for our table, offered free crudo for the wait & then charged us for it!
Try the sundae, bourbon-vanilla & Scotch-chocolate ice creams form the base; the booze factor are cherries soaked in Pimm’s, and salted-caramel chocolate sauce & whipped cream mellow the alky punch. Read more.
