We pick up fish here almost every Sunday for dinner. Tonight was Arctic Char, Hake, Opah, and Cod for my wife. We always enjoy what we have found to be the freshest,most sustainable fish in the city.

In the fall, I recommend buying cauliflower, along w/3 leeks, carrots & garlic. Roast the cauliflower, then make soup w/it & rest of veg. Add some local cheese & u have farm fresh chowder!

If you want fresh and tasty crabs. Go to Jessie's boat where the raw fish sits directly to the right of the main entrance. Then take them across the way to have them steamed there for 18 minutes.
OH and the strawberry lemonade is so swag
Great sandwiches - try the Italian or the brisket. The clam chowder is also a solid option, kind of a mix between Manhattan and New England styles (plus bacon!).
Italian (maybe ask for light on sauce) and Brisket are fantastic. The roast pork also looks/smells fantastic. Homemade pickles are good too and large enough to share.
The Italian is awesome. Finally a good sandwich place in DC. I've waited years for a place like this. Very fresh and a great combo of sauces...the mayo, bubs vinaigrette, and homemade hoagie relish.
Definitely get the Corn & Clam Chowder if they have it--fantastic!
Try the beer it is great, Fuel is nice, malty and has a hint of chocolate. The Corn and Crab Chowder is awesome.
The owner says this brewery was the first to churn out booze after prohibition. And they have a drink to prove it: the Prohibition Porter. Order one up and toast that you weren't born in another era.
Stopped here looking for something quick and easy, ended up leaving super satisfied and full. Designed my own wrap- delicious. New England clam chowder also great.

Great, cozy cafe with nice coffee. Also a great selection of books and gifts. Hard to find seats, though. No wifi on weekends during brunch (aka sat/sun until 2PM)
