An incredible family-run restaurant featuring authentic and delicious yakitori! The chef is awesome. Get Orion and plum wine to go with yakitori.
The best yakitori in LA... Not always fast but worth the wait. Soboro gohan is a must.
Some favorites are: bonbochi, pork belly, pork sausage, beef tongue. The lamb is also amazing. You can't go wrong here.
The Lamb with salt (not garlic) and black cod are a must. Be sure to order an overflowing glass or two or three of kurosawa sake with your meal. I was a nanbankan addict for months!
Get a seat by the bar. Faster service and you get to watch the chefs cook up your skewers. I always get the nanbanyaki, chicken tail and lamb.
The ginger dressing is seriously out of this world. Don't order anything but the premium BBQ beef set. Comes with endless salad and miso soup.

Usually if the bread isn't good neither is the rest of your food but the chicken ravioli, gnocchi, salmon, and dessert was some of the best I've had.
Gnocchi el pesto. Slurppp! The bread on the side is awesome.
Nigiri sushi is great. Tempura is awesome too.

Everything here is amazing...hence the long waiting lines. Love the chicken wings, chicken hearts, and chicken cartilage. Don't miss the yakitori!
