The Union Pearson Express opened in 2015, and it's a great way to get to/from the airport, which is a bit far out. You can get on at Union Station. Train is comfortable and lets you bypass traffic.

Immigration/border control is now a breeze - you can clear it using machines, without ever talking to a human thanks to the Primary Inspection Kiosks the CBSA started installing from March 2017

In Terminal 1? The cheapest spot for food and drinks is waaay out at F88. If you've got time, the Canadian Bagel co. will make you an awesome breakfast sandwich and a cocktail.

Good airport with free WiFi, Tim Horton's and plenty of charging stations and iPads by the gates. Only downside is lack of carts past security checkpoint, so travel light.

When at a gate waiting for a flight, be sure to sit at one of the chairs with a power receptacle. Great access to charge your mobile devices while you wait for boarding.

If you want to buy maple syrup to bring back home, there’s a store close to check-in zone two that’s a little cheaper than inside in the duty free, unless you want a huge pack. Go in duty for packs.

Clean, modern, and comfortable. Love the onsite rental car center. The walk to customs feels like it's a mile long, but we can't have everything.

The walk to gates F84 through F99 can be quite the trek. On top of that, there is really only one place to grab food that doesn’t come from the convenience shop, The Great Canadian Bagel.

The new transborder process means you can't just walk through with your Global Entry slip. You are required to speak to an agent to be cleared. It has slowed down the process quite a bit!

If you're tight on time for a connection, skip the long line at passport control and go down the middle. From there, follow all purple signs and lines on the ground to get you to your connection

Flying to the US? Make sure to get to the airport comfortably more than an hour ahead of departure time as you will not be able to check in to your flight once the 1 hour mark arrives

Extremely clean airport with free wifi. Looking for a VIP lounge? I would suggest Googling the lounge you're looking for on your phone. Most staff are unaware of which lounge is which. 👌

To get into the city (downtown) there is a train. Only 3 stops to Union Station. After arrival, take elevator up to parking level, cross over, go up one more level. Ticket machines are there.

While most North American airlines treat us like cattle, the actual airport operations are pretty smooth. Free carts, water refill stations, and lots of seating and outlets when you need it.

Super boring airport. Very clean though which is always a plus. No Ubers at arrivals so take the Union-Pearson train to the first stop (about $5) and get an uber from there.

The international terminal upgrades are commencing nicely. Not sure the food kiosks are still a good thing or not. High top tables and such seats are uncomfortable. It’s a clean well oiled airport!

Good luck with long US pre clearance lines. If you don't ask, Canada Nexus passengers (without Global entry) and international visa holders are stuck forever. Food, UP Express & securit- a breeze!

Nexus card holders will breeze through security, both incoming and departing. Be sure to have it out and handy for the CBP agent at the end, else they'll get annoyed and may see it as a violation.

To go Toronto downtown, use the UP Express train which goes directly to Union Station. Buy and recharge the Presto Card instead of being online, you’ll pay $9,35 instead of $12.

Don't bother waiting in front of the doors for your party. Grab a seat, hook up to some free wifi and text your group where you are sitting. It can take up to 45 mins to clear customs and get bags.

When flying BA/AA from LHR to the US, pick up your luggage then head upstairs to the AA counters near the US passport entrance. Don't follow the connections signs. Wish someone told me.
