- Alix SchweitzerSeptember 1, 2016Best Middle Eastern food I've had outside of the Middle East. The juice is fresh-squeezed and it's amazing. Try orange apple carrot. I ordered an incredible spicy veg dish with potatoes and rice.
- Riverfront TimesAugust 4, 2014The meat shawarma - beef and lamb slowly roasted on a vertical spit - might be the best in town as tender as braised beef, its rich, pot roast-like flavor kept lively on the palate by lamb's gaminess. Read more
- 24 Hour Food GeekAugust 6, 2020Fatoush side salad - parsley, lettuce, cucumber, tomatoes, green onion, green pepper, and cabbage served with house dressing & topped with pita chips. #thevinestl Follow at http://24hourfoodgeek.com
- James HarperJuly 31, 2017The Lunch we had was exceptional. The salad of shredded vegetables with a nice olive oil & herbs dressing was great. So was the BabaGanoush with fresh, warm Pita bread. Beef and Chicken Shawarma was👍
- Outstanding Mediterranean food at incredibly reasonable prices. On a nice day, the people-watching on South Grand is fun, too!
- Good lunch take-out spot but staff can be a bit slow to address you upon walking in. Hookah collection looks great as well (al fakher)
- Michael LangApril 20, 2013If you have a large party, call ahead to see if they can accommodate you. We went with 8 people today and nearly got turned away. There's not a lot of room inside, but it's worth making it work.
- Sachitanand BhardwajAugust 15, 2016Hummus, falafel, baba ganoush are awesome. Sauté veggies on entrée menu is also very good. Bread is just soft to cherish.
- Amazing food, you can't really go wrong. Highly recommend the hummus. And the service hasn't been slow the times we have come (and we've been here at varying times of day).
- Go! MagazineApril 25, 2013Fries Taste Test: The sumac-kissed spices on the Vine's fries were pleasant, but the spuds tasted like they’d been bagged and frozen. We'd return for the falafel — not the fries. Read more
- ChristianJuly 29, 2013All food here is excellent and at great prices. Dinner comes with bread and choice of soup or salad. Pita bread and hummus for appetizer! Delicious.
- 24 Hour Food GeekAugust 6, 2020Chicken shawarma - marinated chicken breast, house spices, vegetables, and rice. #thevinestl #24hourfoodgeek Follow us at http://24hourfoodgeek.com
- Tim BushnellDecember 4, 2016Lots of amazing choices, the appetizers alone are worth the trip. Fresh warm pita bread really hits the spot
- Mel SJuly 23, 2013So, so good! The most vegan friendly menu I've seen in a not strictly vegetarian establishment; and better yet than some that are!
- My fave Hummus deluxe with chicken shawarma and a side tabbouleh salad.
- New menu has many new dishes that taste great, very nice indoor renovation as well
- 24 Hour Food GeekAugust 27, 2020Beef shawarma - marinated beef and house spices. #thevinestl #24hourfoodgeek Follow us at http://24hourfoodgeek.com
- Nowell GataApril 13, 2010Everything is made fresh, that day. I love their home made babaganouj (egg plant, tahini, olive oil, garlic) with some of their fresh-baked bread. It's super affordable, too; and they make pizza.
- Mlle LieNovember 24, 2014Small place, slow service, but great food, traditional. The lentil soup is amazing. Teas are brewed beautifully and staff is friendly.
- Samantha MurrayJuly 31, 2017Vine kebob + lentil soup = AMAZING. Fast, friendly service and outdoor seating 🤗
- Kristin WernerAugust 2, 2013Great little place! Loved the food and environment! Pillows on the bench make it very comfy!
- Great food, large portions, nice staff. Slow, but typical of the culture. Try a hookah...Yassir's an expert!
- Kerri McCroreyMay 6, 2011Order the tasting platter as an appetizer before ordering anything else. It's wonderful and more than enough to feed two eople for a meal.
- Riverfront TimesOctober 10, 2012RFT 2012 Best of St. Louis Winner - Best Middle-Eastern Restaurant- Try to leave room for homemade desert! http://bit.ly/RfbIDD
- Try the Hummus or Hummus Deluxe! It's great! Especially with fresh pita bread! =)
- The kabobs are good, skip shwarma, bread (super dry) and lentil soup. Salads are fine but mostly dropping of vinegar.
- Great food but service can be really slow...like for drink refills or getting your check.
- Jaye JalsoMarch 22, 2012Slow service, but otherwise delicious & fairly authentic food. Large portions too. Try the cardamom tea.
- Haslindawati HassanMarch 16, 2013We love the Lebanese Nachos, but disappointed that the rotisserie chicken is no longer on the menu :(
