This is foodie heaven!! Come really hungry because everything is good! Top 3 musts are Tacos #1, Dizzengoff, and Mokbar, but you'll need to come back multiple times to taste everything

Cool shop place in refurbished Nabisco bakery with restaurants, stores, craft shops and grocery.. Check out the original building metal etchings on the walls to see the history.

Katrina PeraltaSeptember 4, 2013With so many food options, walk thru the entire market before deciding on what you want. It gets really crowded on weekends so you may want to plan on taking your food up to the High Line to eat.
This place is a fun European-Style Market that has tons of artisan foods and local shops. While I love supporting the neighborhood businesses, this place is always crowded with tourists. Go early.

Great place for tourist to try fusion restaurant. The best thing is the artist shop, los tacos, and the food court in the middle.

This wonderful indoor food mall features a plethora of delights, from Lucy's Whey (a lovely local cheese shop) through Los Tacos No. 1 (a runner in the competition for best tacos in NYC).

Stop by the nicely curated bookstore while you're here too.- This place is a foodies heaven. Pro tip: come with a friend and come hungry. Then split one item from every place. And walk the highline after to burn some of those new cals. :)
Susan HobbsJuly 13Stop for a bite to eat, or to shop after walking the High Line. Plenty of boutique spots. Often you’ll find a sample sale in one of the spaces as well as an Artists & Fleas on the 10th Ave & 15th St.
The tourists swarm in droves but the gem for New Yorkers is Manhattan Fruit Exchange, a shockingly inexpensive grocery store with fabulous, diverse produce, cheese, and most other kitchen staples.

Matt AtkinsonMarch 14, 2014Ok, someone recommended hale and hearty... Seriously? num pang sandwich shop is excellent and Los Tacos No 1 is probably the best in NYC. Hale and hearty is decent but there are locations everywhere.
If you visit this market, go to the lobster place. They have great lobster rolls that come with chips and cole slaw. You can get this on the go and head over to the high line. Enjoy!

It does get extremely crowded, especially during the weekends, so plan accordingly!
The best place in the city to buy vegetables and fruits. The italian market has some amazing cheeses and pasta. It's also great for lunch. You'll also find the best brownie from NY.

I loved my cheeseburger, sweet potato fries and vanilla shake from Creamline, and my boyfriend raved about his pork tacos from Los Tacos No. 1- Go downstairs (near restrooms) go to the mini market and pick up a can of local beer (starting at 2.50) drink anywhere in the Market while you try all the different foods..you’re welcome. The meat pie place in the common food hall area is great. Also the taco place is really good. The fruit store has things like small papayas and starfruit that are hard to find outside Chinatown.

- K JSeptember 7, 2014I really like it here. It's quite pricey but I think the interior is enough to feel satisfied about walking around. You might get hungry and cave in but there's also shopping and good coffee.
