Colm Linehan: Perfectly located for a layover. Nice design. Good for a holiday Inn.

Colm Linehan: Upstairs is very comfortable. Check out the armchairs add ottomans in the corner.

Colm Linehan: Excellent vegan cuisine. The desert was a particular highlight. On the way to a Michelin star.

Colm Linehan: Very good pizza in the middle of nowhere. The Spicy Llama is good.

Colm Linehan: Good American/European sandwiches and Tapas.

Colm Linehan: Good empanadas, but they ran out in the evening so have in the afternoon.

Colm Linehan: Great thin crust pizza.

Colm Linehan: Come around 3:30 to avoid the crowds and still have a chance at sunset.

Colm Linehan: Not a bad lounge. Comfortable chairs, fast WiFi (in an airport that otherwise has none), quiet, and a tended bar. Food is a bit unappetising, but there is a decent selection. Been in much worse.

Colm Linehan: Unlimited refills, as long as you don't leave hungry.

Colm Linehan: Continue on 500m to Gljufrabuí, a beautiful waterfall that is cut into the mountain.

Colm Linehan: Don't miss this beautiful waterfall. But be prepared to queue and get wet to get inside

Colm Linehan: The most civilised security lanes in Heathrow. It's like being in a different airport. Good reason to maintain BA Gold.

Colm Linehan: The terrace is a nice quiet place to catch up on some sleep or read undisturbed.
