Dolphin show was fun! Sit in the first few rows..you don't get very wet. Go to the first show then when the other two shows are in session the aquarium is cleared out and you can walk around freely.

If you visit during the summer, be prepared for many, many, MANY summer camp groups. Try to come as soon as they open so you can avoid the kids!

It's amazing! On busy days, buy your tickets in advance online or at the kiosks to avoid the lines. Kiosks are to the right (towards parking garage).

The Monterey Bay Aquarium is far superior. This place is worth a visit if you're in town with a kid but be forewarned: it is highly commercialized and kind of cheesy.

Did you know that the operational systems in the Georgia Aquarium include enough pipe to more than encircle Atlanta on the I-285 loop. That's 61 miles! We love this aquarium - it's a must see!

Plan ahead; the parking garage takes 30-45 minutes to enter on the weekends. Then another 45 minutes to buy tickets. So arrive ~2 hours before you want to actually visit.

Purchase tickets in advance and pick up at will call. This routes you around crazy long lines. And try not to complain about the prices at the food court as all profit goes back into the livestock.

The dolphin show was challenging for our 1.5 year old - loud, flashing lights, and too long. So sit somewhere with easy access to exits. At least you can sit awhile and no extra charge!

Buy your tix online and bypass the insane ticket office line. Also, go on a weekday if you can. The weekend crowd is miserable, esp if you're claustrophobic or value your personal space!
