Natalie Downe: If sunny, sit outside & order a large bottle of sparkling water then go in the cake shop to order one of the fabulous cakes! they'll give you a ticket to hand to the waitress. Fruity cakes are divine!
Natalie Downe: Fabulous dinner, the game stew is spectacular and the staff very helpful, it's worth asking how long the food will take once you ordered so you can explore. If walking here WEAR STURDY SHOES!!!
Natalie Downe: Delightfully fancy restaurant, sit by the window or outside, there's a live pianist and delicious food! Absolutely have the apple pancakes! This hotel looks like it would be amazing to stay at too.

Natalie Downe: Live and very German music, all the portions are hearty and the schnitzel is good! Have a proper weissbier and the sharing platter of hams, pickles and cheeses.
Natalie Downe: Lovely hotel, rooms are decent enough and the swimming pool with indoor-outdoor heated pool is wonderful at night (the pool closes at midnight) then go to the bar in your robes for a cocktail.
Natalie Downe: Stunningly amazing views and well worth the trek up the hill. Go up all the steps of tge castle to the very top and watch the sunset. Breathtaking.
Natalie Downe: Come here for propper German food, inexpensive, tasty and large portions of it. Have a Zigeunerschnitzel (schnitzel with paprika sauce) washed down with a German beer.
Natalie Downe: If you are coming here with a partner, go on Wednesday or Sunday for mixed days. Glorious old building! Have the soap and brush wash option, ask for a soft brush & try not to snore in the nap room.
Natalie Downe: Only open between 11am-12am and 3pm-4pm. Worth a quick scamper (10 or so mins), the audio tour is quite dull but there are some well preserved examples of the roman under-floor heating pillars.
Natalie Downe: Two floors of sparkly things, including three of the famous eggs. Russian Art museum. Interesting from a historical perspective too, use a combination of Wikipedia and asking the knowledgable staff.
Natalie Downe: Everything about this park is so gloriously lovely. Walk from the north to the south, ending in Lichtental. Admire the pretty bridges and the photos of the park from 1900. Take the 201 bus back.
Natalie Downe: Absolutely delicious food! Very dainty and tasty. Staff are very welcoming and the outside terrace at night makes for quite a spellbindingly special dinner.
Natalie Downe: The airport is shut between 11pm & 4am. The airport is 20mins taxi from Baden Baden town. Take the 205 bus to the stadtmitte (the 140 goes to Baden Baden train station but that's also far from town)
