If you are visiting DC, you have to go to the Newseum. It's one of the few museums that you have to pay to get into but it is worth every penny!

Great news museum with everything from Berlin Wall, 4D cinema and my favorite Pulitzer Prize winning photographs and lot more. Bonus if balcony with view over The Capitol.

With all the free museums in DC, I waited a long time to visit this place, but it's well worth the price of admission. Block out a whole day and take it all in.

The admission ticket is valid for two days, so you can return and enjoy the museums two days in a row. There is also a student discount - a laughable 1$

  • Tristan T.

Best museum in Washington. It's not free (25$ if I remember correctly) but it's worth it!

A little pricey considering all of the free museums. Follow the "recommended" path because the layout is weird.

Was pretty neat. Way less crowded than the smithsonians but there's also an entrance fee. It is pretty pricey, so only go if you're really interested.

Great spot, but give yourself more time than you think. It takes at least 3-4 hours to scratch the surface here. Your ticket gives you 2 days of admission though so you can revisit tomorrow!

Because of the great view from the outside deck (upper floor), this is one of the few indoors museums you want to go to on a really nice day!

    MisterEastlake · February 12, 2015
  • MisterEastlake

Downside: one of the few great museums you have to pay to get in. Upside: a really great museum (a MUST for news junkies or politicos) PLUS a GREAT view from the outdoor deck upstairs
