Wow. This is what Chinese food is supposed to taste like. Definitely try the wontons and the beef wrap. Amazingly fresh ingredients.

Lovedddd this place. Went with a big group, so we ordered pretty much everything. The tofu dish, forgot what it's called, but get it! Delicious and great atmosphere!

Authentic Taiwanese food! I'd highly recommend this place. It can get busy for parking but it's a great area to hang out especially during the weekends when there's outdoor farmers market.

Bc of COVID, we ordered takeout. Tasty: beef roll, shrimp wontons, and dumplings. Pass: dan dan noodles were soggy and sauceless. Three cup chicken, minced pork and wood ear mushrooms were average.

One of my favorite places in all of LA. For vegetarians - must have the Dan Dan Noodles, the scallion pancakes, the 5-spice bamboo and the potstickers. All delicious!

Highlights: pork minced bowl, spicy wontons, dan dan noodles, beef noodle soup, and eastern beauty tea. Skip the mapo tofu and scallion pancakes. Long line and bad parking situation.

I’m always skeptical about eating braised chicken at restaurants, but Pine & Crane’s three cup chicken is soft, tender, juicy AND flavorful. For appetizer, don’t forget to add the beef roll.

Beef noodle soup, dan dan noodles, and mapo tofu are all flavorful and delicious. Panfried pork buns are disappointing. Great loose leaf tea selection!

Really enjoyed the Trumpet Mushrooms with the 3 cup rice. The mushrooms were earthy and meaty which paired with sweetness of the whole garlic cloves. The chili peppers added a hint of spice.

The service is fast-casual, which translates to unfussy food in a modest, minimalist setting. The spot-on Chinese options mean legit dan dan noodles and pork dumplings. Read more

Is this the best Taiwanese place in Los Angeles? Far from it but it is the best place anywhere here near the Silver Lake/Atwater/Echo Park/Los Feliz neighborhood.

Delish Taiwanese food. Get take out, drink a beer at the bar while you wait and then eat outside in the courtyard to avoid the line.

Great ambience. Delicious beef roll. Spicy wontons, Dan Dan noodles and 3 cup chicken were all passable but not the best. Do not order the boba - it's watered down and not very flavorful

Silver Lake is probably the hippest hood in LA. There's probably a huge overlap between the folks who are always at Intelligentsia who are also here.

It has a wait but expect nice staff and a lively atmosphere. I’d go again cause it was fun and good enough, but don’t expect to be impressed if you are used to these dishes in its native country.
