Chip ThomasMay 7, 2011Sitting in E terminal, not much here, not many screens to list departures, the E concourse where I am reminds me of a cattle call! Lots of people and ten gates for us to go through.
Best to park in one of the off-airport lots.. much cheaper and usually faster.
Make sure you take some time to check out the smoker aquarium.
For the last week salt lake (Lehi) is home sweet home!
Make sure to go to the waiting lot if you're waiting for an arrival
If you get a chance, try flying in a plane. It's amazing!
Uber’s & Lyft’s are sky high ($70-$110) getting to Park City past midnight. Baggage Claim wait is slow as molasses.

Going downtown SLC? Take the TRAX Light rail train for $2.50. It's just as fast as a taxi cab for 1/10th the price.

OMG this airport is do backward. TSA Pre-check closed at 5 PM! Really?!?! Have to wheel your bag over to get it scanned if you check it! Can't pick my own car at National. Just weird...

Nice small airport. Don't need to allow much time for layovers. Seems to struggle with on time flights though.

Almost all the shops are under construction. New company took over so far a few changes just waiting. There will be all new food places and shops.
DoubleTree by Hilton ManagerSeptember 22, 2011If you’re unable to select the middle seat when booking your flight, do not book that flight. The flight is most likely oversold which could make for an unwanted adventure when take-off time comes.
Free Wifi. Try French Meadow Bakery. Great food & certified organic.
Get a BBQ chicken pizza with extra onions at the CPK in terminal 2. Wait to eat it on your flight and see how many dirty looks you can get!
Go to Vino Volo for lunch or dinner. Tell them Ryan sent you.
Correction, it's now cheaper to get soda from vending $1.75 than Red Onion $1.96 + tax
TSA precheck is at terminal 2 (the main entrance for all gates) but closes at 8pm

- No matter what airline you fly. Go through security at Terminal 1. It's much faster and all terminals are connected on the other side
