- Rachel MutiaMay 12, 2015The prime rib plate is too good! Seasoning it with their salt and pepper makes it even better. $22 was worth it!
- Katherine M.September 15, 2017Rumor has it that this was one of Walt Disney's favorite places to dine. If you get a seat in a back room, it certainly does feel like a Snow White/Sleeping Beauty cottage in Fantasyland!Upvoted Feb 13
- A city treasure. Enjoy a great cut of Lawry's prime rib, or, better yet, try the Tam's signature Toad in the Hole for filet mignon in a giant popover / Yorkshire pudding bowl.
- Domingo RJuly 27, 2019The prime rib is always outstanding! But if you are looking for a fine dining experiwnce , stay away from the pub. At least on Tuesdays, it gets overcrowded and loud..Make a reservation!
- EaterDecember 20, 2016The Prime Rib is still the best overall place for prime rib in Los Angeles, but this Scottish cottage in Atwater Village, owned by the same company, offers pristine prime rib in an unbeatable space.
- Veronica ChaviraJuly 15, 2018I recommend the Tam O’Shanter prime rib cut. All the sides are family style, try the Mac’ & cheese and creamed spinach! Live bands are there on weekends!

- Offbeat L.A.January 28, 2016Opened 1922. Designed by storybook architect Harry Oliver. Classic Scottish steakhouse with ornate interior.
- Silent HollywoodMarch 15, 2012Regular Walt (the 1st Disney studios were nearby) was inspired by the pubs wood-frame Tudor building. Mary Pickford and Tom Mix were also fans of the hearty Scottish menu which has changed little.
- Yen PhamJanuary 21, 2019I love their prime rib and mashed potatoes lovely atmosphere wonderful service I definitely will come back again
- Maggie SAugust 9, 2014I've only ordered prime rib here, and for good reason. The lemonade is good but perhaps a tad too tart, as it actually made my throat hurt.
- eric bornemannDecember 28, 2022You get a little bit of LA history and a lot of Welsh rarebit. Nice patio on weekends.

- Margaret DreyerAugust 7, 2015The prime rib was amazing and the service was amazing! Definitely worth the price!
- Try the brisket sandwich w/ a side of thier house cole slaw at the bar with a tall glass of Harp. You will not regret it.
- Bill ChottSeptember 1, 2010The Tam O'Shanter is one of LA's oldest restaurants. Walt Disney and his crack crew of animators used to dine on prime rib and fine Scotch here. Now, it's home to the funnest night of trivia in LA on Read more

- Rebs YApril 13, 2012Order the Moscow Mule: "spicy, not too sweet and sneakily alcoholic, with the odd, velvety fizzing sensation that happens when carbonation encounters soft metal."
- Bill BellDecember 16, 2015If you like good old fashioned home cooking, this is the place. It's all good
- Cynthia de la TorreDecember 27, 2013Tam O'Shanter happy hour: $4 wells and $5 draft beers, weekdays from 4-7pm. #winning

- Karl HobartAugust 7, 2014It's pricey, but I can't get enough of their brisket sandwich on an onion roll.
- Come on a Friday night and enjoy the incomparable Ploughboys! Celtic music and kilts!
- Neal U.July 29, 2014Just like walking into 1955. Also what a place to eat yourself into a beef coma. Omg.
- Doug WrightJune 13, 2010Really good prime rib - from Lawry's don't you know. Also, chocolate souffle, when it is available, is a winner
- Really disappointed. Called ahead on Tuesday and was told the Ploughboys were playing in Thursday. Got here and they aren't here....
