The museum is very modern! I loved the interactive displays. The Civil Rights Act portion is especially fascinating.
This library was dedicated on May 22nd 1971. Over 45 million pages of documents are located in this museum, some of which were written by LBJ himself.

Hands down coolest music venue in Austin. Head outside to the main stage or up the stairs to the rooftop deck that looks over the stage. If you want a more intimate experience head to the back stage.

It's said that if a couple climbs the 100 stairs to the top of Mount Bonnell once, they fall in love; twice, they'll become engaged; and after three times, it's inevitable they'll get married.
One of the oldest recorded tourist attractions in the Austin area and the highest point within Austin's city limits, Mount Bonnell offers fantastic sunset views of Lake Austin and the 360 Bridge.
I recommend bringing a book (and sunscreen) and reading on the side of the hill. The kids/families are on the shallow end (near the entrance); the adults are by the deep end. Do it!
