Carlo's Cucina Italiana is a great little Italian restaurant in the heart of Allston that tastes like it should be on Hanover Street in the North End.
While the Fusilli with Sausage and Broccoli Rabe was exquisite, the service is what really makes this place shine. If you get Guy, you're in luck; he's a friendly server who won't steer you wrong.
Their seafood pasta lunchbox is a great deal... and very delicious!

On a winter night, two things you could do to have a crispy warm feeling. 1) sit by a fireplace 2) come to Pho Basil and have some of the best aromatic hot vegetable soups in the city. Love Pho Chay

I felt lame getting pad thai at an authentic thai place, but it was excellent pad thai. Really peanut-y. Just the way I like it.

Best Italian food and pizza in Boston. Great bread and olive oil. Get the caprese and focaccina con caprino (focaccia flatbread with goat cheese, balsamic glaze, greens) as appetizers.

It's a take out place. Only 2 table for sittings. Food is great. Best crab rangoons I had so far. Chicken satay for apt. Note: Thai Hot spice means Hotttt. I would recommend mild spicy.
