Great ambiance, live music every night (& no cover!), amazing food. A little more $$$ for a regular hangout place but a night of cocktails and apps (tuna spring roll!!) is a great one indeed.

An original dive that's not too dive-y. No stage, but an area next to the bar hosts some of the best live music you'll find. Treat Her Right (pre-Morphine) filmed a video here (I Think She Likes Me).

Great performances, really cramped and slow service, but really good food. Don't get the large portion...it's HUGE and impossible to finish (and I eat tons!)

A great variety of shows are offered here year round and performances are nothing less than stellar. Get tickets early because they often increase after shows open and become popular.
Got used to the people who performed sign language after a bit. You can prepay for drinks to be waiting for you at a designated table at intermission to avoid the long line at the bar.

The earlier show is usually not as funny as the later ones (I think the performers tone it down a bit because the crowd is usually a bit younger.) The later shows always have more laughs!

Cool student events here every now and then. The acoustics are pretty terrible for amplified performance (e.g., standup comedy).
Big events take place here, including Obama's visit to campus in 2009. Community events (with free food!) often take place at the Oval in the spring.
