the soy tacos here are really great, even for the carnivorous folks. the taco de soya al pastor is definitely worth a try and for $1.35 you can't go wrong.

A Thai restaurant so authentic that you'll find extremely legit Northern dishes like fried bamboo caterpillars and frogs legs. But there's always solid staples like Pad Thai for the unadventurous.
Absolute best Thai in Chicago, hands down. The apps & food are delicious and perfectly authentic northern Thai. Great ambiance, but a small venue, thus packed/loud @ peak times. A million/10.

Been here at least ten times, and the food is consistently good. Start with the robata: 'chicken satay' (with rice pearls), 'beef short rib', and 'shishito'. Finish with 'maguro' and 'hamachi' nigiri.
I know there are few other Thai places on Taylor st, but this place is my favorite place in Chicago now. Tom yam soup was spicy and delicious, and I will be frequenting here this winter for sure
