Dallas Hike and Bike Trails: This 9.4 mile trail is around the scenic shoreline of White Rock Lake. The trail links the Mockingbird Point Dog Park, playgrounds, parking areas & the White Rock Creek Trail.
Georgina Toland: At the northern part of the trail, near the Mile "0" marker there are water fountains and a nice green area perfect for hula hooping.

Patrick O'Neill: Great trail for walking, running, cycling, or whatever. Yes, if you time it right there will be bunnies, snakes, opossum, and other critters.
Angel Melendez: Nice long winding trails, view of the trinity river fork, forest, parks, wildlife, what's not to love?! Be sure to bring your own water , they have two or three fountains , but they are spread apart.
Sandy Goettsch: This trail is awesome. Not too busy and you can get a great workout via bike, jog or skates.
Dallas Hike and Bike Trails: This 6.3 mile trail links Fretz Park, Salado Park & Campbell Green Park & provides a connection to the Cottonwood Creek Trail providing a bicycle & pedestrian connection from Plano to downtown Dallas.

Dallas Observer: One of the best woodsy-outdoor escapes in Dallas County. There are picnic tables, miles of hiking trails & a nice little pond. (And poison ivy off trail, you've been warned). It's closed on Mondays.
