Kathy Mckinney: Best crab cake anyplace, lots of crab, minimal breading
Allison M.: V&A is open every night for dinner, Chef Carlos has the best crab cake I've ever had in my life, his quail appetizer is incredible, and they serve great burgers at lunch on Fridays (or always in bar).
Lauren Fernandez: There's a reason VA was voted Best Of Houston steakhouse - Chef Carlos knows food. From the best crab cake in town to amazing steaks, to great sides & drinks. Ambience is top notch. Sit @ chefs bar.
Steve C: The lobster bisque is wonderful & the lump crab cakes are the best outside of Maryland...but a little small.
Tere Perry: Steaks & chops are on the menu, but also check out some of the signature non-beef dishes like Jumbo Shrimp Alexander or Chicken Bianco...both great with the Parmesan & Truffle Matchstick Fries.
CultureMap Houston: Everything here—salads, sides, and desserts—is served big, so plan to share.
Mason McCoy: This is a beautiful, historically landmarked hotel. The interior was clearly redone from top to bottom a few years ago and it looks gorgeous. I had a great stay, highly recommended.
James Whitehead: Awesome stay. Very accommodating. No paranormal experience this trip, maybe next time. Perfect place for a getaway. Great complimentary little breakfast.
Plwm Bwm: Beautiful hotel, valet parking is a little expensive at $30 but it's still worth going for. Buffet breakfast is excellent, especially the biscuits
Chad Brawley: The bfast buffet downstairs is very good. Excellent service. Excellent food. NO TURKEY or soy products tho. Just PORK. There is a chicken option w the omelets.
jane andraka: take the ekevator to top and look down! ride the cool glaass elevators!!
CultureMap Houston: When it opened in '72, the Hyatt was a futuristic marvel, with a soaring 30-story atrium & glassed-in elevators. It was so space-age looking that it was featured in the '76 sci-fi movie Logan's Run.
Tara Wandel: Delicious cioppino and blackened redfish tostados.
Patrick Navarro: Kobe burger is excellent
Carlos Nunez: We described the food as "fulfilling, but not satisfying." Burger was cooked too hot (asked for rare but got medium). Wife got pancakes that tasted like cornbread (good, but weird). Mimosas were meh
