Best sweet potato fries I've ever had. Lemon asparagus with parmesan is delicious. Brussel sprouts everyone raves about arent that good- really goopy & too much sauce. Grilled tuna steak for the win
Meal of market sides 4 for $15-soy glazed tofu & broccoli, beets with goats cheese and walnuts were best. Sweet potato mash & grilled asparagus with Parmesan only ok.

My go-to sushi spot in the East Village. Sit at the sushi bar and chat with Jack, the chef. He's hilarious and the high quality + unique sushi here is an amazing bang for your buck.

The omakase was awesome and the Gyozas also great. Excellent service. The green tea ice is delicious.
Sit at the bar and ask for the 'super omakase' (not on the menu). Chef Nobu is wonderful so sit strategically to watch him prepare and discuss the sushi!
Best sushi I ever had! The omokase sushi is worth the extra money. It is out of this world. I've been eating sushi since I was a kid and this place blows away any sushi I have ever eaten. Love it!
without writing a full love letter to my black linguine calamari (wowowow), I suggest the generously spread liver pate on fresh crostini. mind-blowingly delicious

Get the Afternoon Plate. Amazing food, very reasonably priced. I would say it's the best "teishoku" (定食) I've had outside of Japan.
The coconut crepes with seafood filling is the best item on the menu!
Love the croquettes de jambon and the petotillas de queso de cabra. Also try all the sangrias!
If you want good tapas, go somewhere else.
