Lori Luo: A fresh take on Isaan Thai cuisine, Somtum Der's dark larb is legitimately spicy and all of the papaya salads are delicious. Worth a stop if you're in the East Village.
Douglas Elliman: A simple restaurant with regional Isan cuisine. We love the vast arrangement of shared plates and recommend the pro play: papaya salad with salted egg, duck larb, coconut rice, and pad ki mao.
