Standing tickets (mine were £10) say “very restricted view” but they're ok. you get an iron rail to lean on, & an actual reserved standing space. view of the stage is ok, can see about 75% of it.

The acoustics here were once so bad, it was said this was the only venue where a composer could be sure of hearing his work twice. It was corrected in 1969 by putting diffusing discs on the ceiling.
