Aileen Chu: Most authentic Chinese in Midtown E. / Upper E. Side. Try the cold appetizers such as Spicy Beef Tendon or the Sesame Noodles. If you want to be adventurous, order the Spicy Wok Tossed Duck Tongue.
Angela Wen: Very authentic Sichuan place. not too salty! Amazing lunch special. Get the fish fillet with chilis or beef with Asian peppers. Wonton soup is really oily.
Russell Hirschorn: Last two menu pages have the authentic stuff. Portions are HUGE!!! Fish filet with chilli and sprouts was very good. Crispy pork belly, not so much. Not crispy, VERY fatty. Dumplings are delish.
What's Good Here: On the pricier side for the portion size, however what you are getting is a very authentic meal that is high quality and delicious.
What's Good Here: Don't let the restaurant name fool you. This is a very authentic restaurant. The "ramen" is not Japanese ramen, but are hand-pulled noodles similar lo mein.
Savannah Petrick: the xiao long bao are juicy and the skin is a good thickness but the meat isn't super tasty. duck buns are yummy. service is really quick & the place feels authentic, especially by midtown standards.

Nelly Magoo: I like this location most. Authentic Japanese vibe and the window seat with shoji is a fantastic date! Miso in love is a good menu choice to share, and the cocktails are most friendly also.
Steph Osmanski: Shrimp bbq and shrimp dumpling appetizers were bomb!
Tony Xerri: This place is absurdly amazing. Go with a group and order their kobe beef combos for the best experience. Servers tip you on the best way to cook your meal and the Bibimbap is life altering.

Colin Lee: Fresh, authentic chirashi place with generous portions. Will def come back!
Jenny L: Hidden gem in midtown east. It's a Japanese eatery / piano bar / karaoke. They are so generous with the amount of sashimi they put into a bowl. $22 is so worth it for Uni don. Kirin draft is only $4.
katwiththek: Hidden gem in midtown east for fresh chirashi bowl. Ask for daily special, get seated by the bar. Friendly host and attentive staff. If you come on Sat nights, they may even have live jazz music.

Lluís Ruf Martí: Crowded and small place with charm. Must try Pork Buns and Miso Ramen, both amazing!
Linda Le: Short wait for Totto Ramen but cash only.
Tom Wolfstein: The ramen is great. But you better in finish it because there's no option to doggie bag it. Combined with cash only, they are really low on flexibility.
