Jane Lam: Miso ramen. The frozen Kirin is just Kirin beer with icy foam.
Sally Lait: Noisy, popular little basement restaurant with a great atmosphere very reminiscent of Japan. Large, affordable menu, and great drinks choices including frozen Kirin.
Ram: Very cool place, somewhat hipster. Fresh fish and a jug of beer is all is need :-)

Marc Buon: give ur name/# to hostess, go nearby to get a drink, buzztable app then tells u when u should come back. Order pork buns, Kirin draft, any ramen. Add kakuni and spicy paste. Rub tummy!

Alex: maybe the closest you could get to an actual izakaya in japan, but in new york. sanma, tonkatsu, yakisoba, and kaki fry (fried oysters) are delicious. $8 pitchers of sapporo! super fun & lively place.
