Beautiful park. Gorgeous views over Pittsburgh, in particular at night. Real nice olympic size track and plenty of hard surface tennis courts. Deer is everywhere!

See the fountain at the Point where the Monongahela & the Allegheny meet to form the Ohio. Kayak and bike rentals nearby, also see the Fort Pitt Museum.
The reservoir path is wonderful for a walk or run.
Highland Park statues were sculpted by Giuseppe Moretti in 1896. He also went on to sculpt Vulcan overlooking Birmingham, AL, which is the largest iron statue in the world; 7th largest statue in US.

My favorite spot to get take out for a picnic- hummus is to die for and this is the only baba ghanoush that I've ever loved.
Amazing falafel and samosas...and the people who work here are really friendly and helpful. Can't wait to go back and try their goat curry!
