Andrew C: Incredible Tortas. Too often "improvement" on time-tested foods by way of better ingredients and flare fails miserably. Guero is an exception. Get the carnitas with cotija cheese and a fried egg. Wow.
Hannah Scott: I literally day dream about their food. All the tortas are absolutely incredible- especially the carnitas torta. I always add a fried egg too!
Olivia Marshall: The cart bowl is bomb. Got it to-go (ty covid) and it was enough for 2 meals and I added a fried egg on it both times :)

CITY GRIT: While most folks dig the Reggie Deluxe, we think the gravy is too much. So our go-to is The Reggie – Fried Chicken, Cheese, Fried Egg on a Buttermilk Biscuit!
Micki Balder: The sandwich with apple butter, fried chicken, cheese, and bacon is delicious
Valentino Herrera: The founder is from North Carolina and the biscuits and other dishes are as authentic as you'd want, with a few added embellishments. I recommend the Reggie, even for breakfast.

GNTLMN: All-American (e.g. biscuits and gravy and meats). Get the Reggie Deluxe - fried chicken sandwiched between the best buttermilk biscuits you've ever had, a sausage gravy and a fried egg on top.
Dave Mohon: The moneyball double down! Two fried eggs on top of biscuits and gravy!
Ryan McCracken: A MUST if you're in Portland. Amazing biscuits and gravy (and hangover cure)! Go there for breakfast and skip on lunch. (Also skip on the hashbrowns, or you won't want dinner either.)

Esteban: Goat fig pig and a vieux carre are an excellent way to go.
Sara Viernum: Stick to the dessert crepes. The dinner ones are dry. Service is surpising slow too.

William York: So. Amazing. Great and more importantly consistently so, combined with super cheerful service. Great music, so you boogie in line while waiting. 😀😀😀
Kathryn Alexandra: Amazing bagel and cream cheese for $2.50. Or try a burger, with 2 grilled cheese sandwiches instead of buns.

Kandace Brigleb: Definitely order the breakfast burrito if it is special. Otherwise, and i know this us just plain wrong, but the vegan skillet is amazing (especially w/ a fried egg on top).
Page Morrison: Good for brunch or any time. This casual spot has plenty of seating, lots of charm, and an impressive menu. My favorite is the salmon scramble with veggie hash, it's paleo and so tasty!
Raymond Brigleb: If smoked salmon is on the menu, get it.
