Great trail that extends from the Esplanade (path that encircles the Willamette River in downtown PDX), South to Sellwood, then East out to Powell Butte and beyond.
If you're running or biking in the early morning or late at night wear a headlamp because it gets really dark in many areas.
If you must torture yourself for a long run or a tempo workout, this is a damn good place to let the legs open up. (Pro-tip: there's a honey bucket 3/4 mi beyond the SE entrance)
Beautiful water feature. A lovely place to sit and have lunch or to do leaf-boat races.

Pretty overgrown out and back. Best view is at the very beginning. Beyond that this is simply a trail used to link up to other trails.

Lower Macleay Park Trailhead to Pittock Mansion: 5 miles Maple Trail: 6 miles Lower Maple Trail loop: 3 miles (hike then feed on NW 23rd Ave)
Beautiful, shady trails right in the middle of town. Great for a quick workout.
