I love this place-everything to love about a local bookstore. They also have great gifts. Locally made Torch candles and a ton of fun, handmade cards are perfect for anyone.
They no longer have used books as part of an agreement with other used bookstores on the Hill, FYI, but still a great store.

Located on the north shore of Lake Union, the park has excellent water views and a spectacular, unobstructed view of the city skyline. It is a popular spot for concerts.

This park is home to one of Seattle's best views, a historic water tower, a conservatory built in 1912, and Seattle Asian Art Museum.
A very quiet park in comparison with all others in Seattle. Beautiful views of Puget Sound. Great place for a summer picnic.
Although the park has a beach it's not a prime spot for swimming as the water's cold & the beach rocky. One trail extends to Puget Sound & after a lengthy walk you'll find a lighthouse and tide pools.
We dare you to take the best possible picture of yourself with the Olympic Mountain behind you in the background, then find the closest active sand dune and try to build a sand castle.

Walk, stroll or simply sit at this beautiful beach overlooking Shilshole Bay. During the day, families and couples walk their dogs or play volleyball, basketball or Frisbee on the sandy beach.

Easily the coolest REI store anywhere. Make sure you go through the main entrance, because its awesome. Kids play area and restaurant and climbing wall. I could die happy here.

This artificial lake is home to a variety of geese, ducks & other wildlife. 1 lap around the lake is just 2.8 miles, & you can rent in-line skates or beach cruisers at nearby Gregg's Greenlake Cycle.

Free boat rides every Sunday rain or shine! Sign ups start at 10:00 am and first boats go out about 12:00pm with last boats heading out at 4:00pm. As always, the coffee is on and it's also free.
More than 100 historical boats are docked here & you can climb aboard to learn all about their history from a well-informed staff. Talk to craftspeople currently restoring many classic wooden boats.
