Their permanent collection is always interesting for all ages. One of my favorite places to go in New York is their Visible Storage Study Center. I could spend hours there discovering new pieces.
Check out The Dinner Party by Judy Chicago in the Elizabeth A. One of my fave museums in the city, always with fresh & interesting exhibits in a beautiful space. Free on the first Sat of the month w live music & talks from 5-11pm, but any day is awesome here.

One of the best museums in all of NYC. Big, clean, beautifully curated, well designed, the whole thing.
First Saturdays are wonderful, and the museum's got a great collection of feminist art. It's a neighborhood institution and one of the best museums in NYC.

The Counter Cafe is excellent! Try the Croque Monsieur--outstanding! The lentil soup was great!
Come see the small GO exhibit. It gives you an idea of what Brooklyn artists currently does. Make sure check out the iPad with all open studios weekend images! Nice project! Up till Feb 18, 2013
